Quilting—Edna J. Patterson-Petty

Go to pieces with quilter Edna J. Patterson-Petty. Watch as Edna demonstrates her magic with a needle, thread and fabric, and then piece together your own masterpiece from material.

Edna J. Patterson-Petty is a quilter and fabric artist from East St. Louis, Illinois. She is a graduate of Southern Illinois University- Edwardsville with Masters degrees in fabric design as well as art therapy. In honor of President Obama’s inauguration, Edna was commissioned to create Road to Redemption, a quilt that was included in the Quilts for Obama exhibit at the Historical Society of Washington, D.C.
