Dr. Seuss Birthday Bash

Fans of Dr. Seuss can put on their Bar-ba-loot suits, stick a Wocket in their pockets, hop on pop and make a stop at The Magic House for a super-dee-dooper-dee-booper good time at the Nine Network’s Dr. Seuss Birthday Bash. Visitors can listen to local celebrities read from their favorite Dr. Seuss books, make their very own Dr. Seuss hat and even meet The Cat in the Hat and his friends Thing 1 and Thing 2!

Cost:

With a paid adult admission, children 11 and under who bring in a new Dr. Seuss book ($5 minimum value) to be donated to First Book, an organization that distributes new books to children in need, will receive free Museum admission during the Dr. Seuss weekend event.
Reservations are not required.


Super Kids Breakfast

March 6
9:00 am – 11:00 am

Throw on your best cape and join us for a breakfast fit for a superhero! Dress like your favorite superhero and enjoy a superhero-themed morning filled with action-packed activities, the chance to meet some of your favorite superheroes like Batman and Spiderman, a delicious breakfast and private playtime in the Super Kids Save the World exhibit.

Cost:

$15 per person for members
$20 per person for non-members

Bunny Breakfast

March 20
9:00 am – 11:00 am

Follow the bunny trail to The Magic House and get your morning hopping at the Museum's Bunny Breakfast featuring our special guest – the Easter Bunny! Every-bunny will have a great time as they enjoy a delicious breakfast, participate in a fun, hands-on activity, play in the Museum and get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny!

Cost:

$15 per person for members
$20 per person for non-members

Egg Roll

March 28
9:30 am – 5:30 pm

Visitors get things rolling on The Magic House's front lawn for the annual Egg Roll. In the great tradition of the White House, The Magic House, with its own replica Oval Office located in the Museum's Star-Spangled Center, is inviting children to roll up their sleeves and participate in an egg-citing race as they use large spoons to roll their eggs across the finish line. Plus, families will have the opportunity to meet a very special guest – the Easter Bunny!

Cost:

All egg-tivities are free with Museum admission.

Super Kids Earth Day Evening

April 22
4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Calling all superheroes! The earth needs your help. Join The Magic House and our partners at Gateway Greening for a Super Kids Earth Day celebration where you will get your hands dirty as you plant seeds to start your own garden at home. Learn about where your food comes from, how composting can reduce your trash and why saving the planet can be down and dirty fun!

Cost:

Free with Museum admission.

Fairy Tale Tea with Cinderella

April 23 & 24
11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm

Aspiring princes and princesses will have the opportunity to sip tea or apple juice, dine on fine pastries, make a bejeweled tiara or crown to take home and enjoy a short, live production of Cinderella inside the Whitaker Theater at The Magic House. Following the play, kids can see their favorite characters up close as Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the Fairy Godmother visit with guests and sign autographs. Guests are encouraged to dress in their storybook best. At least one shoe is required.
