Facility Rentals (for Magical Events)
The Magic House is a 50,000-square-foot interactive museum that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests of all ages. With both indoor and outdoor venues, The Magic House offers a unique and creative environment for any special occasion including weddings, corporate events, fundraisers and school family nights.
You can enjoy the entire Magic House for larger events, or rent individual rooms for events with fewer guests. Inside the museum you will find a spacious Events Gallery that can accommodate 160 guests for a seated dinner or 250 guests for a reception; or for a more formal occasion the Star-Spangled Center provides a majestic 2,000-square-foot that can accommodate up to 200 guests for a seated dinner or 350 guests for a reception; and numerous exhibit galleries and meeting rooms. Outside, you will be enchanted by the museum’s landscaped front and back yards featuring a beautiful open-air Victorian Pavilion and Sculpture Garden; the Play Garden for a more whimsical and fun setting that includes winding paths and three distinct patios, as well as a wrap-around porch; and the Rooftop Garden or Waterfall Patio, perfect options for the start of the perfect evening, both able to accommodate 200 standing guests.
The Magic House is in a wonderful central location in the heart of Kirkwood with easy accessibility to all major highways and has free on-site parking that accommodates 100 cars with additional parking available south of the museum.

The Entire Magic House – $2,500
The Magic House is all yours for a magical event that will dazzle and delight.
Capacity: 1,000 guests
Availability: Nightly after 6:00 pm, 4-hour maximum
Original Wing – $1,500
Over 25,000 square feet of fun and favorites that include the Children’s Village, A Little Bit of Magic, The Bubble Room, Shadow Walls and the Electrostatic Generator.
Capacity: 500 guests

New Wing – $1,500
The museum’s new wing offers 25,000 square feet and features the Star-Spangled Center, the Can You Solve the Mystery Mezzanine, and even a Rooftop Garden.

Events Gallery and the Children’s Village – $1,200
Dine, dance and enjoy a night of fun and exploration in a unique environment that makes adults wish they were kids again.

Star-Spangled Center – $1,000
Enjoy a night of fun in this all-American 2,000-square-foot space featuring a court room, Oval Office, and legislative chamber, which can be transformed into a unique venue for your special event. With seating for 200 people, this majestic space works great for more formal occasions as well.

Once Upon a Time Experience – $1200
The perfect fairy tale beginning for any event, and works perfectly for a cocktail party or small wedding. This unique area features a 1,000-square-foot glass conservatory and Grand Hall lined with French doors and captivating grand staircase and balcony.
Capacity: 250 guests for a seated event; 400 guests for a cocktail reception
Availability: Nightly after 6:00 pm, 4-hour maximum
School Nights and Non-Profit Organization Events – $500 for one wing,
$1,000 for entire museum
A special time when schools or organizations can have The Magic House all to themselves! Perfect for family nights, fundraisers and meetings.

Availability: Sunday – Thursday, 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Magic by the Hour
Classrooms – $50 per hour/2-hour minimum
Great for small, creative meetings, workshops or casual parties.
Capacity: 25 guests per classroom
Availability: During public hours and nightly after 6:00 pm
Star-Spangled Center Theater – $200 per hour/2-hour minimum
Perfect for a performance or presentation.
Capacity: 120 guests
Availability: During public hours and nightly after 6:00 pm
The Café – $100 per hour/2-hour minimum
This light-filled space is great for a breakfast meeting or conference space. The café comes equipped with a catering kitchen.

Backyard Magic – $500
Create a magical memory in this serene outdoor venue which includes a beautiful Victorian Pavilion and a Sculpture Garden complete with flowers galore!
Capacity: 150 guests for a seated event under the pavilion, 300 guests for a reception
Availability: Seasonal usage daily during public hours or private rental from 5:30 – 8:00 pm
Mary Ann’s Garden – $500
A beautiful garden with winding paths and three distinct patios, includes a wrap-around porch.
Capacity: 300 standing guests; perfect for a beginning venue for a special event

Rooftop Garden – $300
A colorful outdoor space with an intimate feel and a bird’s-eye view.

A cascading waterfall provides the perfect backdrop for this terrace.
