Summer Camp Frequently Asked Questions
What should my child bring to camp?
The Magic House provides all snacks, water and materials needed. We recommend campers wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes for camp.
Full-day campers, ages 8-11, must bring a brown-bag lunch each day.
What are the drop off and pick up procedures?
Details will be emailed to camp registrants a week prior to camp with specifics for drop off and pick up.
Should my child wear sunscreen each day?
As activities may include time outside in the Museum’s play garden, please be sure to apply sunblock to your child before drop off each day.
My child has food allergies, can we bring his/her snack?
While snacks are provided to all camp groups, you are welcome to send a nut-free snack with your child to camp each day. Please keep in mind we are a nut-free facility.
Camp snack menus will be made available for your planning.

Is it okay if my child misses a day of camp?
While we hope that your child can join us for the full week of camp, absences do happen. We ask that you alert our staff if your child is not going to be at camp.
Camp fees cannot be prorated.
Can I pick up my child early or drop them off late?
While we hope that campers will join us for their scheduled camp time, early pick up or late drop off is allowed with advance notice. We ask that you contact the Camp Magic House staff so that we can plan accordingly. You may email [email protected] to alert us at least 24 hours in advance. If camp is already in session, please contact our main line at 314-822-8900.
