Magic House
Learning Camp

Kindergarten through Grade 5

When in-person classroom learning is not an option, students can experience the joy and wonder of learning unique to The Magic House in a supervised, socially-distanced environment separate from museum visitors. Similar to our full-day summer camp program that successfully implemented social distancing and other CDC protocols, this new camp will be available beginning August 24.

Magic House Learning Camp will supplement school-based learning with creative STEAM and social studies interactive experiences led by the museum’s experienced education staff. A supervised and supported virtual learning lab will be available for students to be online when needed.

Each day will begin with private exploration and play in the museum followed by creative camp learning experiences like robotics, 3D printing, pottery making and cultural experiences from around the world. After lunch, time will be set aside for independent reading and schoolwork combined with independent art experiences. Students will be divided into small group “Play Pods” with 10 students maximum to allow for social distancing within exhibit spaces and classrooms.
