World Traveler Gallery: ¡Viva México!

Take your students on a trip south of the border to a vibrant country where celebrated traditions combine with modern family life with a visit to our World Traveler Gallery exhibit, ¡Viva México! Designed to encourage global awareness and cultural appreciation, students will explore a variety of immersive environments important in children’s lives around the world, including a traditional school, home, marketplace and more. During their visit, students will experience the vibrant culture and traditions found throughout the Mexican community.

Hero Quest

Available beginning September 2025
Kindergarten – Grade 5

Hero Quest brings to life historical heroes from New York Times best-selling author Brad Meltzer’s Ordinary People Change the World book series in life-size books throughout your museum! Students can go on a scavenger hunt to find diverse historical heroes, stepping into the story to learn powerful character traits and discover the hero within themselves. Through hands-on activities, children will explore the traits that made real-life heroes extraordinary and learn how they themselves can make a difference in the world.

Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum: The Exhibit

Kindergarten – Grade 5

Travel back in time in this returning exhibit that brings to life the Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum PBS KIDS® TV series! Be “transported” to key moments in history and connect with known historical figures to solve typical everyday childhood problems. Discover the potential of each person to become a “hero,” as the TV series begins with the saying, “Every single boy and girl has what it takes to change the world.”

Thomas & Friends: Explore the Rails

Preschool – Grade 2

All aboard! The world’s most beloved #1 blue engine will roll into The Magic House this fall for exciting fun and adventure. Featuring the favorite engines and destinations from Thomas & Friends™, the STEM focused exhibit seeks to engage children and families in foundational skills that foster STEM literacy through playful learning experiences.  In the exhibit, children help Thomas and his friends solve a variety of challenges, from a simple sorting and shape identification activity to more complex engineering obstacles, such as completing a train track using track pieces with different levels of elevation.
