The Magic House Opens Super WHY!: Super Readers, Power Up!
ST LOUIS (January 24, 2025) – Super Readers to the rescue! The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum is excited to announce the grand opening of their newest exhibit, Super WHY!: Super Readers, Power Up! on February 1, 2025. Based on the hit PBS KIDS® TV series Super WHY!, created by Angela C. Santomero, whimsical environments and hands-on interactives bring favorite nursery rhymes and stories to life. The exhibit invites families to step into magical Storybrook Village, where they team up with storybook superheroes to use the power of reading to solve problems when they, “Look in a book!”.
In the Book Club, kids can become a superhero as they don a cape and discover the special powers of Super Why, Wonder Red, Princess Presto, Alpha Pig and Woofster, a super dog, before jumping into a “Why Flyer” to explore Storybrook Village.
- At Super Why’s house, visitors slide down Jack’s Beanstalk and bake gingerbread men cookies;
- At Princess Presto’s castle, kids search for magical gems, put Humpty Dumpty together (again) and take a ride in Cinderella’s carriage;
- At the winding Alphabet Path, families play a life-size game to discover secret letters, then join Alpha Pig to build with bricks and blocks;
- At Wonder Red’s House, children meet the three bears, then race Wonder Red to collect rhyming words in her basket;
- At the Teapot Café, kids pour tea and serve treats and then explore Storybrook Park to meet three billy goats, a troll under a bridge and much more.
