Sandcastle Beach Returns to The Magic House for Summer Fun
ST LOUIS (Wednesday, May, 14) – This summer, families can experience the beach without leaving St. Louis. From May 23 through July 6, beach lovers of all ages can enjoy a coastal escape right in The Magic House’s backyard as Sandcastle Beach returns.
With the help of ten truckloads of sand, The Magic House’s backyard will once again be transformed into a beachfront park. Visitors can take a stroll along the boardwalk, search for seashells at the shell dig, relax under a colorful beach umbrella, and have the chance to build a sandcastle alongside world-champion sand sculptor Dan Belcher as he sculpts a gigantic sandcastle.
A native St. Louisan, Belcher received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University. He has traveled the world creating stunning sand sculptures and has won numerous awards for his creations.
Sandcastle Beach is sponsored by Prairie Farms and is free with admission. Visitors can hit the beach beginning Friday, May 23. It’s the ultimate staycation destination!
