Get ready to go on a hero-sized adventure across the St. Louis region! Beginning Saturday, May 30, St. Louis Summer Hero Quest takes the excitement of the Hero Quest exhibit into your community with a fun, family-friendly scavenger hunt.
In partnership with St. Louis Public Library and St. Louis County Library, families can visit 15 participating library branches to search for heroes brought to life through larger-than-life storybook displays inspired by the Ordinary People Change the World series by Brad Meltzer and Chris Eliopoulos. Along the way, kids will discover the character traits that made these real-life heroes extraordinary and see how they can make a difference, too.
Visit at least six of the 15 heroes to earn a free Ordinary People Change the World book at participating library branches to keep the inspiration going at home.
Pick up a Hero Quest passport at The Magic House or any participating St. Louis Public or St. Louis County Library branch to start your journey. You can also explore Heroes at Home activities, developed in partnership with CharacterPlus, to keep the adventure going wherever you are.

Nominate a Hero: Celebrating Everyday Heroes in Our Community
Kids can shine a spotlight on the real-life heroes who inspire them every day as part of St. Louis Summer Hero Quest! Children are invited to nominate someone in their life who demonstrates kindness, courage or curiosity, the three key traits explored throughout the Hero Quest experience.
Submissions can be made at participating library branches or online from May 30 through July 31. At the end of the summer, three outstanding heroes will be recognized, one for each trait, and will receive a special award basket that includes a Family Plus Membership to The Magic House and a free field trip to The Magic House for a school of their choice.
It’s a meaningful way for families to celebrate the heroes all around them while encouraging kids to reflect on the qualities that make a difference in their own communities.
