A 90s Summer is a special summer-long experience that adds a fresh layer of fun to everything families already love about the Museum!

Inspired by the carefree summers of the 1990s, this celebration focuses on unplugged, hands-on play, encouraging kids to move, create, explore, and imagine while parents reconnect with the simple joys they remember from childhood.

Throughout the summer, families can “go outside and play” with classic activities like bubbles, colorful chalk art, and parachute play. Plus, nostalgic creativity stations invite parents to share their favorite childhood pastimes from the 90s, including making friendship bracelets, folding paper fortune tellers, tie-dyeing, weaving potholders, building mud pies, and more. 

Sandcastle Beach also returns with tons of sand, real tools, and a classic sprinkler, creating space to slow down and enjoy summer play the old-fashioned way.

Refuel at the Picnic Basket Café with a special 90s Sack Lunch and stop by the Museum Shop to take a little throwback fun home, including smiley face T-shirts!
