Trike Town Route 66: Highway to Fun

Coming August 22, 2026

Get your kicks on Trike Town: Route 66, 100th anniversary celebration just for kids!

Our iconic Trike Town exhibit returns this year with a new twist. In this one-of-a-kind exhibit, children journey on trikes through a kid-sized town inspired by America’s most iconic highway.

Created in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Route 66, the exhibit brings the spirit of the open road to life as little drivers pass familiar local historic roadside stops like Donut Drive-In, Ted Drewes, Crestwood Bowl and Spencer’s Grill, connecting a classic American journey to St. Louis long-time favorites in a way only The Magic House can.

Trike Town Route 66 is sponsored by Sunset Ford, a car dealership founded in 1912 that still sits on Gravois Road which was part of historic Route 66 as it passed through the St. Louis area.

Fun fact: The Magic House, a family Victorian mansion built in 1901, sits along a stretch of historic Route 66, making it a fitting setting for this road trip inspired experience.
