Family Nights
Bring your school community together with Family Nights at The Magic House! Designed for non-profit organizations, our Family Nights offer an exciting opportunity for families to interact, play, and learn in our engaging and educational exhibits.
Included with your Family Night:
- Private playtime from 6-8 p.m.
- Free admission for children and their families
- Use of exhibits within the wing you rent
- An onsite facility manager
- Magic House staff members to monitor the exhibits
- Complimentary parking

North Wing
The North Wing features family fun exhibits, including the World Traveler Gallery, Traveling Exhibit Gallery, Story Time Magic, Construction Zone and Jack and the Beanstalk Climber.
Capacity: 500 per wing
Availability: Wednesday through Sunday evenings from 6-8 p.m.
Rental Fee: $1,000 per wing, both wings $2,000
South Wing
The South Wing includes the ever-popular Children’s Village, Bubble Room, Electrostatic Generator, STEAM Center three-story Super Slide, Wonder Works and more.
Capacity: 500 per wing
Availability: Wednesday through Sunday evenings from 6-8 p.m.
Rental Fee: $1,000 per wing, both wings $2,000
Grant-Funded Opportunities
Your school or organization may be eligible for a Free Family Night! The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum is proud to be the recipient of several generous grants to make the Museum accessible to all kids and Title 1 schools, as well as schools with 50% or more students that qualify for free and reduced lunch. Additionally, through a generous grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. and in partnership with CharacterPlus, The Magic House is offering free Hero Quest Family Nights for elementary schools where children and families can learn more about character education as they explore the Museum. Please note that these evenings are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information or to see if your group qualifies, fill out an inquiry form.
