Be a Hero Like
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr. loved to read and play as a child. His parents taught him that love was more powerful than hate. His mother reminded him that he was as good as anyone, even though he grew up in a time when black people were treated unfairly. He became a minister and encouraged people to use peaceful methods to stand up for themselves. He was arrested, but kept using words and peaceful actions to make change. He had a dream that one day all people would work together and treat each other based on the content of their character. He organized actions that helped people realize that we must walk a path of peace and march together. Martin stood for peace, justice, and what is right.
