Pinewood Derby Workshops at MADE for Kids

ST LOUIS (January 24, 2025) – What do you get with a wooden block, plastic wheels, metal axles, and a dash of imagination? A Pinewood Derby racer!

Scouts and their parents looking for help in creating their Pinewood Derby car can now sign up for The Magic House’s MADE for Kids Pinewood Derby Workshops. The workshops will take place on Sunday, January 26 and February 2 from 9:00 – 10:30 am and 11:00 am to 12:30pm. These workshops provide all the essentials: paint, weights, decals, and access to the necessary tools for crafting and customizing your winning racer! The workshop fee is $15 for a parent and child team, which also grants all-day admission to MADE for Kids. Registration is required to participate in the workshop.

Calling all budding engineers and racing enthusiasts! MADE for Kids invites families to experience the thrill of competition and creativity with their Pinewood Derby Test Track experience. The Pinewood Derby Test Track will be at MADE for Kids from Tuesday, January 21 until Sunday, March 2. Kids can bring their custom-built Pinewood Derby Cars or build their own Lego brick racecar and participate in friendly competition. From the design and building process to race time, kids will learn lessons in physics and develop problem-solving skills. Access to the Pinewood Derby Test Track is included in the $6 general admission fee. Join us for an unforgettable adventure of engineering and racing!
