A Very Eric Carle Breakfast

Bring your appetites and join us for a brunch fit for a Very Hungry Caterpillar! Munch on delicious foods just like the Very Hungry Caterpillar, enjoy hands-on activities inspired by the book collection, create your own Eric Carle insect and enjoy some private playtime in the Very Eric Carle exhibit. Your registration also includes all-day admission to the Museum.

Happy, Healthy Halloween Celebration
Friday, October 30
10:00 am – 2:00 pm

It's the Not-So-Haunted House that is oh-so-fun! Kids of all ages are invited to dress in their most "boo"tiful Halloween costumes and have a ghoulishly good time trick or treating and getting autographs from their favorite storybook characters at this candy-free celebration. This year's Halloween event will include a special visit from more than 15 storybook characters.

Plus, join us for a special Happy, Healthy Halloween celebration on Friday, October 30th, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm where kids can participate in activities such as a cardio dance party, an interactive demonstration by a St. Louis Children's Hospital chef and a scavenger hunt through the Museum for healthy treats and more.


Free with regular Museum admission.

Fairy Tale Tea

November 7 and 8
11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm

Once upon a time, The Magic House will host a special Fairy Tale Tea party where aspiring princes and princesses will have the opportunity to sip tea or apple juice, dine on assorted pastries, make a bejeweled crown and enjoy a short, live production of Cinderella. Following the play, kids can see their favorite characters up close as Cinderella, Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother visit with guests and sign autographs.

Wine Pairing

Thursday, November 12
6:00 to 8:00 pm

Join The Magic House Young Professionals Board and learn all about wine! Adults 21 and older will enjoy eight expertly paired wines from PRP Wines International and delicious food by The Magic House chef to complement each tasting.

Wine will be available for order from PRP Wines International during the event and 20% of sales will be donated back to The Magic House.

All proceeds benefit The Magic House Field Trip Scholarship Fund which provides children in need with the opportunity to experience a field trip to the Museum free of charge.

Kids Can Help

November 14 and 15, 2015

Children can help those less fortunate and get into The Magic House for FREE during the Museum's annual canned food drive. On Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15, children under the age of 12 who bring in three canned goods per person will be admitted to the Museum free of charge. The collected food will be donated to the St. Louis Area Foodbank to help families in need. Helping others can be a magical experience.

Parents and their little short stacks are sure to "flip" over The Magic House's Annual Breakfast with Santa. On Sunday, December 6 and December 13, families can make their morning (or evening) sizzle with a yummy pancake breakfast cooked by a pancake flipper extraordinaire. This isn't any normal pancake breakfast as kids will catch their pancakes as they are tossed through the air by Chris Cakes Catering's master chef. The kids can also have a special photo taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus, enjoy playtime in the Museum and even have the opportunity to make a fun holiday craft to take home.

Noontime New Year's Eve

December 31, 2015
11:00 am – 2:00 pm

Happy New Year! New Year's revelers of all ages (even those with a bedtime!) are invited to ring in the new year a little bit early with a special Noontime New Year's Eve celebration at The Magic House on December 31 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Visitors will participate in a variety of traditional New Year's Eve festivities including a countdown to noon throughout the Museum! Visitors will also be invited to make wish wands and noise makers in the Museum's art studio.

Any New Year's Eve party wouldn't be complete without a dance floor and dancing tunes! Kids will dance the day away in between posing in a photo booth filled with fun props, accessories and 2016 themed attire.
