Cardboard Creation Showcase

October 8

This September, kids will be challenged to take an ordinary cardboard box and build something extraordinary! The recycled masterpieces will be displayed at a Cardboard Creation Showcase on Saturday, October 8. Inspired by the short film, 'Caine’s Arcade,' this event is part of a Global Cardboard Challenge created by the Imagination Foundation. Reserve your spot in the showcase and receive free admission on the day of the event!

Once A Pawn A Time

Sunday, October 16
11:00 am to 1:00 pm

Celebrate our new chess exhibit Kings, Queens & Castles with a Once A Pawn A Time event! Visitors of all ages are sure to have a royally good time as they explore this limited engagement exhibit, marvel over the spectacular feats of Juggling Jeff and even have the opportunity to meet a real knight in shining armor!

Not-So-Haunted House

Friday, Oct. 21 through Sunday, Oct. 23

It’s the Not-So-Haunted House that is oh-so-fun! Children of all ages are invited to dress in their most "boo-tiful” costumes and have a ghoulishly good time trick or treating and getting autographs from their favorite storybook characters at this candy-free celebration.

Happy Halloween Party

Join us for a special happy Halloween celebration where kids can participate a cardio dance party, make a healthy snack with St. Louis Children's Hospital’s resident chef and even complete a scavenger hunt for candy-free treats!

Kids Special Election

Tuesday, November 8
9:30 am to 5:30 pm

This Election Day, The Magic House is inviting kids to take part in the electoral process at a Kids Special Election in the Museum’s Star-Spangled Center. It’s not just politics as usual as kids step into the voting booth and cast their ballot. All pint-sized voters will receive a special “I voted at The Magic House” sticker and can further show their civic pride by participating in some all-American crafts.

Fairy Tale Tea

November 12 and 13
11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm

Aspiring princes and princesses will have the opportunity to dine on assorted pastries and fruit and enjoy a short, live production of Cinderella. Following the play, kids can meet Cinderella, Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother. Reservations are required.

Kids Can Help

November 12 and 13

Children can help those less fortunate and get into The Magic House for FREE during the Museum’s annual canned food drive. On Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13, children under the age of 12 who bring in three canned goods per person will be admitted to the Museum free of charge. The collected food will be donated to the St. Louis Area Foodbank to help families in need. Last year, The Magic House donated nearly 3,000 pounds of food, providing 2,448 meals for the area hungry. Helping others can be a magical experience

You and your little short stack are invited to join us on for our Annual Breakfast with Santa! Make your morning (or evening) sizzle with a yummy pancake breakfast cooked by a pancake flipper extraordinaire, a fun holiday craft to take home, admission to The Magic House and the chance for little ones to sit on Santa’s lap. It’s sure to “stack” up to your expectations! Reservations required.

Noontime New Year's Eve

Saturday, December 31
10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Happy New Year! Ring in the new year a little bit early with a Noontime New Year celebration at The Magic House. New Year's revelers of all ages (even those with a bedtime!) are invited to join in the festivities as they make noise makers and wish wands, strike a pose in a photo booth with fun 2017 themed props and dance the day away to some rockin' tunes.
