TapeScape 2026
Explore Tape Like Never Before! TapeScape Returns to MADE for Kids

ST. LOUIS (May 29, 2026) – Get ready to crawl, climb, and create! The Magic House, MADE for Kids is bringing backTapeScape, an immersive playscape made almost entirely out of packing tape. The exhibit opens Tuesday, June 2 and will be available through the summer at MADE for Kids in the Delmar Makers District.

Before it even opens, visitors can watch the magic happen live as artist and designer Eric Lennartson builds TapeScape on-site from May 30 through June 1. See firsthand how layers of tape are transformed into tunnels, slides, and climbing structures right before your eyes.

Once complete, kids can explore this larger-than-life fort made for adventure. From climbing through winding passageways to sliding across stretchy surfaces, TapeScape blends creativity, engineering, and active play into one unforgettable experience. It’s hands-on STEAM fun that’s sure to stick!

Using miles of packing tape and the help of dedicated volunteers, Lennartson creates durable, flexible environments that challenge the imagination and show how everyday materials can become something extraordinary. His TapeScape installations have amazed audiences around the world—and now they’re back in St. Louis to inspire a whole new generation of makers.

TapeScape is included with regular admission to MADE for Kids, located at 5127 Delmar Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108.
