Explore Tape Like Never Before!
ST LOUIS (May 30, 2024) – MADE for Kids, a satellite location of The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum, is thrilled to announce that it has officially reopened following its temporary closure due to storm damage. The reopening kicks off with the debut of an exciting new exhibit: TapeScape, an innovative playscape made almost entirely out of packing tape.
This unique exhibit will be available for play from Monday, June 2 through Sunday, September 7 at MADE for Kids. Children will have the opportunity to crawl, climb, and slide through this playful, STEAM-inspired exhibit. TapeScape promises to be one of the most memorable forts ever built, captivating the imagination of all who visit.
With the help of volunteers over three days and using nearly 15 miles of tape, designer and artist Eric Lennarston harnesses the strength of tape to create unique installations that are sturdy enough for visitors to climb on and explore. Visitors can watch TapeScape being constructed from May 30 to June 1. Lennarston has completed TapeScape installations around the world, and this exhibit is sure to inspire wonder and curiosity about the unexpected uses of tape.
The exhibit is included with regular admission to MADE for Kids, located at 5127 Delmar Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108. For more information, visit: https://www.magichouse.org/made-home/made-exhibits/tapescape/
